Beekeepers Tea Party

“The Far Orchard is a community orchard where individual apple trees are hosted by individuals, organisations, and allotments across Banchory and district. More info at this link  https://thefarorchard.co.uk/

The Barn Arts co-ordinates the project and hosts events and workshops throughout the year for members of The Far Orchard and the wider community.

On Sunday 23rd April (1-3pm) there will be a ‘Beekeepers Tea Party’ at the Barn. This is a relaxed family friendly event, with tea and cakes, sampling of local honey and a chance to meet beekeepers and talk to them about their relationship with bees. There’ll be a Bee Hotel making workshop, advice on planting bee friendly gardens and interactive installations exploring pollinators.

We’re looking for bee keepers who would like to come along for the event and sit at a table with members of the public, drink tea, eat cake (and honey) and chat about their experience of bee keeping. There would also be the chance to sell surplus honey and other products. We see this event as a way of raising awareness of the importance of pollinators and to engage people with the amazingness of bees.

Would you be interested in coming along and being one of the beekeepers at the event? We have space for a few bee keepers and it would be great to have you involved.

Please do get back to us with any questions. Look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes

Jo and Robbie – The Far Orchard Artists”
