The Scottish Beekeepers Association (SBA)

Purposes:
The organisation’s purposes are to support honey bees and beekeepers, to
improve the standard of beekeeping, and to promote honey bee products in
Scotland through:

The advancement of education in relation to the craft of beekeeping.
The advancement of the heritage, culture and science of beekeeping.
The advancement of environmental protection by conservation of the honey bee.

Membership of the SBA is £40, Valid 1st Jan – 31st Dec

By joining the SBA you will become part of a community of over 1500 beekeepers in Scotland. Your membership will bring you …

  • A monthly magazine – The Scottish Beekeeper
  • Free insurance and compensation for up to 5 bee colonies, add £5.00 for each additional 5 hives or parts thereof up to a maximum of 40 colonies.
  • Representation in meetings with government
  • Opportunities to learn about the craft through a programme of workshops and via our formal examination system
  • The chance to network with other Scottish beekeepers at SBA meetings, the annual convention and through social media
  • Access to the extensive Moir Library
  • Additional household memberships can be purchased by adding addditional adults and juniors as required by selecting from options. Please remember to provide any additional members names in the relevant box during checkout.
