We are a local non-profit making group of beekeepers (and those interested in bees) based at Kemnay, Inverurie in the heart of beautiful Aberdeenshire in Scotland.

Kemnay Community Bee Group (KCBG) was established by Alan Simpson, a very experienced Kemnay beekeeper in the Summer of 2014.

Local people aspiring to keep honeybees are mentored by more experienced beekeepers to help them learn and refine the mystical art of beekeeping.

The group currently has more than fifty members who meet regularly during the summer months at a small apiary site in Kemnay where novice beekeepers can gain hands on experience.

The Group’s activities complement those of Aberdeen and District Beekeepers’ Association (ADBKA) and the Tarland Bee Group who have provided valuable advice and guest speakers.
